1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating a FocalNest account, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you're creating an account on behalf of a family, you're confirming you have the authority to agree to these terms for your household.

2. Description of Service

FocalNest is a task and calendar management application for families, with particular attention to households affected by ADHD and executive function differences. FocalNest is currently in closed beta: the product is real, and subscriptions are real, but features, pricing, and account limits may change more quickly than they would once we reach general availability.

3. Accounts & Eligibility

• During the closed beta, new accounts require a valid invite code issued after we review an access request.
• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• Accounts for children under 13 require verifiable parental consent, as described in our Privacy Policy.
• You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.

4. Subscription & Billing

• Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe, either monthly or annually, at the rate shown at checkout and on our pricing page.
• During the closed beta, invited accounts have full access at no charge for as long as the beta lasts — no trial clock, no payment method required. Once general pricing launches, new subscriptions will include a free trial as described on our pricing page.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless canceled beforehand.
• You can view or change your plan at any time from account settings.

5. Cancellation & Refunds

You can cancel anytime from billing settings. You'll keep access until the end of your current billing period, with no cancellation penalty. If you're unhappy within the first 30 days of a paid subscription, email us and we'll issue a full refund, no questions asked (see our pricing page for the same policy in plain terms).

6. Beta-Specific Terms

Because FocalNest is in closed beta, a few things work differently than they will once we reach general availability:

• Features may be added, changed, or removed with less notice than a mature product would give.
• We don't currently guarantee a specific uptime service level.
• We may ask beta users directly for feedback, and we read everything sent to us.

7. Data & Privacy

How we collect, use, and protect your family's data, including children's data, is described in full in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms by reference.

8. Acceptable Use

FocalNest is meant for genuine family task and calendar coordination. Please don't use it to store content that's illegal, to attempt to disrupt the service, or to try to access another family's data without authorization.

9. Termination

You can close your account at any time from settings, which starts the same 30-day data retention window described in our Privacy Policy before permanent deletion. We may suspend or disable an account that violates these terms, and we'll make a reasonable effort to explain why if that happens.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the product changes, especially as we move from closed beta toward general availability. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do, and we'll aim to give existing subscribers advance notice of any material change.
